Donald R. Hoover, AIA
Architect
Chairman of the Board

Although recently retired, Don continues to serve as chairman of the board of Schooley Caldwell Associates.  Don had a good 38-year run at the firm with his responsibilities growing from project level work in programming, design, production and project management to vice president, chief financial officer and chairman.  He was actively involved in our educational market and remained as a hands-on principal until his retirement.  Don received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.

John P. Schooley, FAIA
Architect
Chairman of the Board, Emeritus

John serves as chairman emeritus of Schooley Caldwell.  After 49 years of practicing architecture, John retired in 2003.  Over the years, he led the firm through the completion of hundreds of commissions in both the United States and abroad, which helped our firm to grow in size and scope.  John’s legacy to the firm is his relentless focus on quality design.  He is a student of modern architecture and still continues to provide inspiration for design excellence.  John was instrumental in hiring the firm’s first interior designer, the late Barbara Schooley.  We still benefit from John’s wisdom and the team philosophy he helped instill in the firm.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.  John was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and AIA Ohio honored him with its highest honor, the Gold Metal.  He was also honored with the Professional Achievement Award by The Ohio State University Alumni Association for distinguished career achievements and outstanding contributions to the architectural profession.
